The Vanity Chair is an object meandering between memory and innovation: it declares, without mincing words, its reference to the iconic chair of all chairs: the very famous and austere Thonet No. 14: the same curves, the same profile, yet treated using a very new material: transparent plastic. Even the soft padded cushion is a new feature that bestows the project with a bright note of colour.

Enriched in 2010 by the new colours of its Murano version, harking back to the myriad hues of Venetian glass, far from merely being a silhouette of its more famous ancestor, the Vanity Chair shines with its own light, touchin1 a senstive chord in the soul of each and eve, one of us, of our inner emotional universe.
